Kind Sir:

 

My name is EIEEUEE 7 son of EIEEUEE 5, and together with two more brothers of mine I am at this time in Spain. Our more specific place of stay is a base located in a mountain range near the Spanish capital, which allows us to reside sporadically in cities such as Madrid, Torrejón de Ardoz and Segovia.

 

As regards myself, I came to this country at other times, when I specialized in the language of Spain. My profession is analogous to what you call a zoologist, and my present mission consists in the analysis of the migrations of certain species of orthoptera coming from Africa and other countries of Europe to the Iberian peninsula. For this we use radioactive markers, and our instruments of great resolving power allow us to detect these specimens wherever they may be.

 

My brothers and I have been absent from Earth for a long interval of time. Our return to Earth took place on a date that is not distant, within territory situated in Denmark, and there we have installed our central base on Earth, together with another located in Berlin. The studies we will carry out during this brief stay on Earth are: analysis of the Nordic cultures, European entomology, socioeconomic evolution of western countries in recent years, South American ethnic groups and enzymes of haematopoietic tissues.

 

Sir, it would not be advisable to make copies of this missive that I am sending you, although nothing prevents you from reading it to those brothers of yours whom you consider trustworthy. It contains some data which, if they reached experts in physics applied to the development of weapons, might constitute a possible clue with probable technical applications.

 

Sir: On our arrival on Earth, two of my brothers travelled to ……….. to study the relations of this great country with the West. For us a journey of this kind is fraught with risks, so that it can be carried out only in our ships, since the facial features of my brothers are very different from those of the Oemii (HUMANS) of that nationality. From secret bases in the mountains of Tibet it is possible to orient our detecting instruments for the subsequent observation.

 

We have thus been able to verify the technological development in a very specific field of the modern weapons created by men of Earth.

 

Sir: I do not know whether you will be aware of the gravity of the news we are going to give you. The order of probability that success will crown the research of the physicists of the People's Republic of China is high, and we could put it at the order of sixty per cent, whereas their colleagues in the USA and USSR would barely reach, in this same field and today, values below seven per cent.

 

I am referring to plasma weapons, and I am going to summarize for you the nature of this concept.

 

As you know, plasma is a gaseous state characterized by the molecules of a chemical element being almost stripped of their electron shell. Temperatures within plasma can reach extremely high values. A plasma “bomb” is not, as its inexactly worded name might indicate, an explosive. It is a device provided with radiators of energy quanta capable of raising the temperature of enormous masses of gas until they reach the plasma level. With normal physical means, the mass of gas that reaches that state is proportional to the energy input, and since this cannot reach high spatial concentrations, the volume of gas affected cannot reach high levels either.

 

However, we have discovered the intimate nature of subatomic particles. It is possible to convert a sequence of electrons into a simple spatial interval (for us space is quantized). By means of simple rotations we can uniformly transform some atomic subparticles into others. For example, it may be possible to transform a hadron into a lepton and vice versa. Mass can be transformed into electric charge, and energy can be supplied to a system of leptons from another space-time framework, apparently breaking the law of conservation of mass and energy, which you should formulate thus.

 

“The sum of mass and energy in the set of N space-time frameworks (universes) is CONSTANT.”

 

It is not true that in the universe in which you and we live at this moment any increase of mass takes place at the expense of an analogous loss of energy and vice versa. That is true for the natural reactions discovered by you (fission, fusion and above all, at an efficiency of 100 per cent, disintegration by matter-antimatter interaction). However, it is possible to unleash a chain-reaction process in which the space of a three-dimensional framework A1 is transformed into ENERGY supplied to the set of atoms corresponding to a three-dimensional Framework A2 (ours)

 

We can achieve this interaction by focusing on a material point two beams of the same frequency but corresponding to two fields of different nature (ELECTROMAGNETIC and GRAVITATIONAL), with quantized energy inputs that are also different and yet polarized in the same direction and opposite sense.

 

You can imagine the effect, using a simile, as if the two space-time continua A1 and A2 were separated by a symbolic or ideal membrane.

 

Through the incidence of the two quanta (gravitational and electromagnetic) this membrane “is perforated”, ENERGY flowing from that moment, which would set vibrating the atomic nuclei situated in A2 and in the vicinity of that “tear or perforation”. In reality it would not be ENERGY properly speaking from the perspective of an observer situated in A1. We call IBOOSOOUU certain entities whose sequence, linked together by different angular rotations, can present energetic, mass or spatial characteristics, depending on the rotations corresponding to the elements of that sequence. With a minimum of energy brought into play (the greater percentage of which corresponds to gravitational energy) it is possible to unleash a chain reaction that could transform several thousand cubic kilometres of the Earth's atmosphere situated near the Earth or adjacent to it into plasma at high temperature.

 

A country like France could be destroyed in a few seconds in a maelstrom of fire. All the air above its topography up to a level of two to fourteen kilometres would be transformed into plasma. The reaction could act on the oxygen or nitrogen content, or both. The sudden expansion caused by the extremely high thermal gradients would produce impressive atmospheric disturbances in the surrounding countries, which would spread to the whole Earth and would seriously affect the attacking country. But life and the material structures of the country attacked would cease to exist in the first case and would be seriously damaged (the material ones) in the second. The nuclear weapons you know would be dwarfed by these terrifying weapons, which my ancestors knew but never came to use (would you do the same?)

 

You do not know our physical models of the universe based on the IBOSOOUU, but when you come to know them, such plasma transformations will be one more corollary of those schemes.

 

It is curious to observe, therefore, how the scientists of the People's Republic of China began to approach the solution in 1967 without having any idea of the genuine nature of matter as we conceive it.

 

The reasons were linked to a series of works carried out by them in the field of very high pressures, aimed at understanding the nature of neutronium (a state of matter normal in certain stars of high density)

 

Moreover, China is very advanced in the field of gravitational waves.

 

Sir: Do not understand from these sentences of mine that China has already obtained the PLASMA WEAPON; my assertion is rather this: they are closer to obtaining it than they themselves think. In fact they have even succeeded in obtaining small quantities of plasma without first achieving the necessary polarization of the two fields.

 

That is why I was telling you at the beginning of this report that an effort or mere chance may put them on the right track, without this implying that either the USSR or the USA can easily overtake them, since the People's Republic of China has for now more experience in this field.

 

The political implications, I believe, Sir, are not hidden from you.

 

And of course the centre of gravity of international power would shift towards ASIA if this weapon fell into the power of that mighty nation. It is not easy to foresee all the consequences of the new structure of geopolitical forces for the men of Earth. For a start, in Spain political parties such as the ORT and the Partido del Trabajo would come to the fore.

 

There remains the hope that the Chinese scientists will not come to understand the scope of their discoveries and will not for the moment obtain such a weapon.

 

With that, so horrendous a nightmare would be reduced to nothing.

 

Up to the present, the most terrible weapons you can bring into play are: the MARVs, or ballistic missiles with an atmospheric re-entry vehicle manoeuvrable in the last phase (the USSR has the advantage in this field); warheads placed in satellites; cruise missiles in low-level flight a few metres high to dodge radar beams (the USA has the advantage in them); and the emission of high-energy charged particles for the interception of missiles. The first three can carry a fission-fusion-fission thermonuclear warhead.

 

Sir. In a recent letter addressed to another brother of yours in Spain we presented our respects to a sister of yours, not knowing that she had died. On trying to find out where she was now, we realized a short time ago of her sad passing. Please convey to your brothers our deep regret and our request for forgiveness for our error.
